Retro sunglasses

Are you also fond of retro sunglasses ? Then you are not alone. Trends come and go, but some return because they last - even years after they first saw the light of day! See some retro sunglasses that never go out of style in our guide below.

Round sunglasses

Round sunglasses have been iconic since John Lennon of The Beatles wore them in the 60s and 70s. The original glasses were small with black lenses, but over time they have been seen in different color combinations and sizes. We clearly understand the fascination of the completely round sunglasses, which can add a bit of retro coolness to your look. Feel free to wear them in combination with a simple white t-shirt and a nice denim jacket - nothing more is needed - the sunglasses can carry your look.

At HART & HOLM you will find several examples of round sunglasses. The most classic John Lennon sunglasses are the Foggia CLASSIC. Foggia is available in two beautiful colors. Black has dark bars and slightly golden mirror lenses. Gold has golden bars and matching mirror glass. Which Foggia is your favorite?

Another example of round glasses is Trieste and the new little sister Trieste MINI. Both variants have completely round lenses, which differ slightly from the classic John Lennon glasses. Trieste is available in reading glasses , sunglasses and Blue Light glasses with and without power . You will find Trieste MINI in reading glasses , sunglasses and Blue Light glasses without Power .

Aviator sunglasses

Aviator sunglasses have been popular since they were seen on Tom Cruise in the movie Top Gun in the 80s. Originally, the glasses with the drop-shaped lenses were designed for pilots. The special shape of the sunglasses could cover the pilot's entire view so that it was not disturbed by the sun during the flight.

You will find several variants of the pilot's glasses at HART & HOLM. One of the most classic examples of aviator glasses is the Palermo, which has a metal frame and large polaroid lenses. Palermo is available in the colors Gold and Silver .

Another popular aviator sunglasses is our Milano, which is a little less classic than the Palermo. Milano is not a metal pair of glasses, but still has a design inspired by the pilot's glasses. Milano is available in many different color variants, which were last updated in spring 2023. Find Milano as sunglasses , sunglasses with power , reading glasses and Blue light with and without Power .

Cat eye sunglasses

Another trend that still holds up today is sunglasses with a cat eye effect. You may remember the iconic scene from the 90s film “Nothing Hill”, where Julia Roberts stands in Hugh Grant's bookstore wearing a black beret and a pair of narrow sunglasses with a cat eye effect.

We understand the fascination of the glasses with the diva-like effect - in a good way. That is why we also have different variants of the glasses in our range. Roma, Reina and Sezze are among our favourites.

Roma is a real diva with lots of cat eye effect and a beautiful, dramatic pattern on the frame. You will find Roma in the colors Crystal , Brown and Black .

Reina is made in collaboration with Christina Rünitz and has the most beautiful cat eye effect, which gives you a beautiful and sophisticated look. Find Reina in the colors Black and Black Turtle .

Sezze is an elegant variant of the fast glasses for those of you who don't think the smaller version suits your face or your style. Sezze is available in two exclusive colors – Pearl and Grey .
