Why should you use Blue Light glasses?

Your brain interprets artificial blue light as daylight. This means that it will try to keep you awake by lowering the production of the hormone called melatonin. 

Melatonin is also called the "sleep hormone" because it helps you fall asleep in the evening when it gets dark. If your body reduces the production of the sleep hormone because it thinks it is daytime, then you may experience difficulty sleeping. Poor or lack of sleep can give you difficulty concentrating, lower mood and headaches. These are all nuisances that can affect you during your day. What is blue light?  

Your eyes are exposed to blue light every day – completely naturally. This happens, for example, when you go out in the sun. Sunlight is a large source of blue light. The natural blue light is important for your activity level and your ability to stay awake during the day. In this way, it can therefore be said that blue light is not dangerous in itself. Blue light only becomes harmful when you are exposed to it in artificial form on a daily basis to a degree where your sleep is affected and you experience problems such as headaches and dry eyes.
